Welcome to my blog! I'm Gavin Carr, a geek and entrepreneur who's been hacking on technology since before the internet existed.

I'm Co-Founder and CTO of a big-data business startup called Profound Networks, which is busy disrupting big business data aggregation processes.

I've also got a number of side projects, including Open Fusion, PlanetAUX, and a soon-to-launch stealth project involving books.

My interests are fairly broad, including Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), web mining and big data, and the intersection between technology and finance. I'm a big believer in low-tech solutions (KISS), and decentralised architectures.
